Groundworks Excavation & Construction (“Groundworks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an excavation and construction contractor based in the Treasure Valley, Idaho. When you submit our quote form, our text-message opt-in form, or otherwise reach out, we collect the details you choose to provide, which may include:

- Your phone number, including your mobile number
- Your email address
- The city where your project is located
- The service you’re interested in and any details you share about the job
- A record of your text-message consent, if you give it, including the date and time
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web host may log basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the Site secure and running properly.
Our Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google may receive your IP address when a page loads. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics on this Site.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your quote request and give you a price
- Reach you by phone, text, or email about your project, scheduling, and crew arrival
- Perform the work you hire us to do, and follow up after the job
- Keep records of our communications and comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How your information is handled and shared
When you submit a form on the Site, your information is passed into our lead-management automation, which is built and maintained for us by Vertex Valley Automation LLC. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, including:
- Web & automation hosting — the Site and our workflow automation run on managed infrastructure.
- Google Workspace (Gmail & Google Sheets) — used to alert us to new inquiries, send you a confirmation, and store your details securely.
- Twilio — our messaging provider, used solely to deliver the text messages you have asked to receive.
These providers process your information on our behalf and are expected to protect it. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
Mobile information & text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who perform support services on our behalf, such as customer service or messaging platforms, is permitted solely to help us deliver the messages you request. All other categories of use exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If you choose to opt in to receive text messages from us — by checking the SMS consent box on our quote form, by submitting our text-message opt-in form, by giving us your number and consenting verbally when you call us, or by texting us first — we collect the mobile number you provide and a record of your consent (including the date and time). We use it to send you the messages described at opt-in: quote follow-ups, appointment and crew-arrival reminders, job updates, and occasional service offers.
Message frequency varies based on your project and your interaction with us. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt in or resume messages by replying START, opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and reply HELP for assistance. Data retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to you, perform and warranty our work, and meet legal or record-keeping requirements. Text-message consent records are retained for as long as required to document your consent. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your choices and rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request a correction to your information
- Request that we delete your information
- Opt out of text messages, calls, or emails from us

The Site is intended for property owners, builders, and businesses, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
